Today I bring you Mina’s ride. Mina had this 2020 Civic TypeR coated and the front end PPFd when he purchased it. His commute from Apopka to Lake Nona medical center can be quite abusive on a car.
We always try to protect but things can happen just like this that are out of our control. Unfortunately paint can get very sticky and quickly. We had to throughly decon the vehicle polish out the sections of damage and then we added some coating and topped the entire car. Why? Because why not.

This New Accord was sent over our way by our friend Ron. His friend Brook just picked this up and wanted to keep it in better shape than her last one. She realized the soft Honda paint was prone to chipping on the highway, she likes to keep her vehicles a long time so we suggested a front PPF.
Full Hood, headlights, bumpers were completed as that was what her budget called for. As you can tell or hardly tell, the film turned out amazing. The kit lined up perfectly and now the accord is on the road protected for years to come from rock chips and other debris on the road.

I hope your weekend went as smooth as this Matte Protection Detail did. Right after the PPF we did the pre prep process to the coating which involves a cleaner to ensure the surface is ready for the coating what is nice is that it comes with the Kit so you don’t have to worry about messing it up.
This coating is a wet application. You do not apply it like a regular coating, the formula is super thick and the water helps you spread the product. We did this in two layers to ensure we have full coverage and just better coverage overall. The results are just perfect. As you can see we couldn’t get any sunlight shots because there wasn’t any. The client even had to pick up in the rain. Florida being Florida you know.
The shop got cleared out after this car left so we cleaned up and by the next day. You all had me full again. 🙏🏼. Thank you guys for always sending your friends and family my way. Look forward to taking care of everyone for many more years to come.

Wheels came right off to protect them along with the Calipers. Now that they look better than new, it’ll make life easier for the client to maintain in a like new condition.
PPF from Stek came next for the bumper, headlights and Mirror caps. PPF will make sure that those small highway trips don’t tear up his front bumper and safeguards it from potential damage. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend and we are back with the Honda Accord giving it some more love that it needs. Our client had a scrape on a lower skirt and instead of going to the shop, we recommended checking with honda first. The skirt was available in 3 days, came painted and it was an easy install. Then we started the enhancement process this was just in for a quick polish and coating.
We did need to improve some move marks prior to polishing that took little effort. Wheels off was an option they chose with this service and it will really make the car look new again. The wheels are already on the smaller side so not having a clean barrel makes them look even smaller. Now they will match the rest of the car.

Magical Monday…water spots can be resolved in multiple ways. The ones that aren’t too deep can typically be removed by chemicals. But if they have been on the paint for a while, compounding and sometimes re heating the paint and compounding again is required. That’s because the spots are so deep when they are re exposed and the clear opens up they appear. We’ve seen it happen typically when we coat a car and then cure it with the IR lamps. Another reason a true correction can’t be completed in one day in some cases. Every situation is unique so give yourself time.
This is the next detail, it’s a 2019 Ford Super Duty that is outside all the time. Getting rocked by sprinklers and then at the beach on the weekends. It’s going to be a solid turn around so stay tuned!

BMW is looking amazing now after going over the entire body lights and all to ensure that we made everything as nice as possible. Perfection was not going to be within reach but we made it look absolutely stunning for its age. Compound and polish really do wake up the paint which is why most go with this service. The BMW X5D is moving right along as you can see. The next steps are making sure the lights are protected so we slapped some PPF on those to ensure they look fantastic for Years and not months.
We then focused on the wheels, stripping them down the best we could to ensure the surface was properly prepped for coating. Now these wheels had been re finished at some point and some areas were Ok and some were not. So I did a nice thick layer of Dlux via airbrush and that made them look a little nicer and more even.
Turning our attention to the body next we shifted into compound and polish. This is where the magic truly happens. But even then there are imperfections that are too deep. But when you compound them, it’s like they are well hidden.

Next up for the ceramic protection is this X5D. These things are becoming very popular and it’s no surprise why this client wanted to give theirs a little revamp.
We actually sent it out first to have the fenders and portions of the bumper blended due to some fading on them. They match spectacular and we will show those off later.

The Blue Range test Spot was a success. So we needed to replicate it through the entire vehicle but first we start with the basics. A little Lift mixed with our reset soap for a little stronger cleaning solution on this one to help us and then we tackle the wheels.
The engine compartment was cleaned and then dressed to ensure the hoses and plastics would have that nice fresh sheen to them.
The wheels were so bad that I had no choice but to use acid on them. I’m not here to play games and wash things 3-4 times just to get cool pics or vids. Straight to the point and there is nothing cool about acid but the amazing job it does of removing years of heavy brake dust and grime.

#thankfulthursday I always appreciate when clients give me their trust to take care of their rides. This client needed a solution to someone hitting the lower portion of the bumper. Quickly remembered that Honda had made some lower bumper flairs. So instead of paying to have the bumper re sprayed, he saved some money and added some style by doing the factory add on. When finished we added some PPF to make sure to protect the new paint and hopefully from this happening again.
Factory parts bolted right up and took about 45 min to install and had to drill 2 new holes for clips. Huge thanks to Josh my parts guy at Honda for the assist.

You can’t go wrong with Reset soap from @carpro_us, the name literally tells you what it’s going to do to your ride. Followed up with Elixir which is a knock out product giving you some protection while you gently remove any dust or minor debris while your car has been siting. Darkside to keep those tires looking fantastic through any weather. Then innerQD to get that interior nice and even. Trim and plastics too. Tuga for when your wheels are extremely dirty and need a through cleaning to bring them back to life. Also works amazing on coated wheels.

Transformation Tuesday! These 1988 Porsche wheels have been through quite a bit in all the years and we were tasked to bring them back to life. As much as I hate using very harsh chemicals, we did have to use some Acid to try and remove as much dirt and grime from the barrel. We deluded it and also sprayed down the wheel to prevent any damage on the face and also the polished lip.
Once we made the back look fantastic, we hand polished the face to ensure they were going to be as white as possible, some of the potions we were able to speed things up with and do them with a machine.
The lips were polished by hand to prevent any damage to the painted portion. We took 0000 steel wool and the polished the metal, then protected it to ensure it stays looking like new. Who knew so much went into a set of wheels? Sometimes that’s what it takes!

Trashy Tuesday….😂. This was a friend’s vehicle that I purposely asked to do testing. On the drivers side headlight, we went through the proper steps to remove the haze by doing a series of wet sanding, compounding and polishing. The passenger side we did what’s most common and just compounded with a high speed and wool pad. As you can see, yes it does clean up but the clarity is distorted and not as nice as the drivers side. If you get anything out of this, it’s hopefully that you spend your money to get things done properly, do them right the first time and not worry.

It’s maintenance Monday. We talk a lot about maintaining your car and the exterior is the first thing that comes to mind. Why is that? It is the first thing we see, we want to show off our clean ride, protected paint and clean wheels. I get it but what’s the point if the interior can’t be shown off too? It’s kind of a disappointment especially if you’re the driver.
Leather is one of those things that you should condition more than you clean. If leather is conditioned properly it will stay cleaner longer and show less wear.
Cloth you should seek professional help for spills and stains. But if it’s just a little dirty, find the product you know how to use and that you feel comfortable with using. I personally use shine supply spot out, or carpet cleaner. Depending on the dirt I could use a steamer or extractor for a better final product. Some CarPro fabric protection or 303 Fabricguard at the end to ensure your next round is easily cleanable.

One question I get a lot about paint is what do you use to make it look like new again. I believe it’s because there are so many products on the market that we get lost. There are also lots of products that say they do something but they actually just hide these damages.
Compound would be the first step when I see deeper imperfections. Polish is to refine the cut process and depending on how deep the cut was(or type of paint) it could require more refinement. Cutting compound heats up with the speed of the pad and massages the finish to remove or reduce these imperfections on the clear coat.
I don’t mind the questions, I enjoy trying to help ppl try to understand the work especially if you’re willing to listen to my answer. Hopefully this helps more than one person who has asked about the process.

I know I had some drone shots of the Audi but I can not find where they went 😵💫. As soon as I get them, I will post them because this car was absolutely perfect in the sun.
As you can tell every square inch was compounded and polished to bring out that luster and gloss of the finish. Fresh tint was completed to keep the driver comfortable and then new emblems to match the black piano trim were installed front and rear.

Now here are the before and afters of the RS5. The blue is really starting to take shape after the refinement. You can see the piano trim was also in poor condition. Not all the damage could be removed but we did the best possible to ensure a glossy finish. One area looked like it had been sandblasted but even that we were able to extract some gloss.
Now that this project is in its final legs, we start to focus on the badges and coating so it can be finalized and ready to be enjoyed.

Following back up with the Audi, lets keep things going in the right direction. The detail was moving along smoothly so it went by rather quickly.
Proper decontamination was taken care of by stripping as much contamination as possible with IronX and nano skin. A little lift in the foam bath to help remove some heavy dirt and then we assessed the finish.
As you can tell there are lots of small imperfections on the car that prevent the true deep blue from coming out. A nice compound will handle the heavier imperfections, while a polish will blend everything together just nicely.
Wheels will be handled properly and then re TQd to factory spec after being protected with CarPro CQuartz Dlux.

This one was a short one for this Beautiful Machine. It was being sold as and the PPF took a good puncture to the nose which the new owner wanted fixed. So naturally when FCF called and said they needed it fixed to help my client, we said yes! We turned this around in less than one day from removal, touch up, replace and quick maintenance.
We also found damage in some other areas and repaired them so the F8 would be perfect for its next owner.

Some of you might think…why this song Angel? It fits the car very well because one little secret I’ve been hiding is that this is an Armored vehicle for diplomats. Every door had glass so thick the windows could only roll down so much or not at all. All panels were reinforced and it was just heavy and almost hurt your eyes the glass on the windshield was so thick.

Nothing crazy to see here just a transformation from gray to black on the Benz. There was so much work involved that I didn’t really want to stop for a lot of pictures and vids. I wanted to be efficient and sometimes that means putting everything a side and just getting the work done. It’s nice to be able to correct a car and finalize things rather than soak in on 50/50 shots. Either way one small vid and a couple of progress pics, some sun shots next and on to the next for repair!

If I told you this car only had 12k miles on it would you believe me? Probably not, but this is what happens when someone thinks that taking care of a car is running it through a car wash all the time. Cleaning and maintenance is part of care but proper maintenance and protection is better.
As you can see the rotary is making this a little easier to ensure a nice finish. Unfortunately there are some things we cannot correct but for the most part we are turning back the hands of time on the black finish.

Small stages of restoring this trim back to life. Sometimes we have to think outside the box when things don’t go our way. We originally planned to use heat. Turns out, some alcohol to prep and then some solution finish layered worked amazing. Once the caps come back from paint, we will post them up to reveal the finish product.

Just like the little sports cars that come through here, the big trucks get love too. So we pulled the wheels off and made sure the liners were all cleaned up and looking new. The wheels received a combination of CQuartz Dlux and CQuarts finest. Dlux is a great base for long lasting protection and Finest was the coating of choice for the client and a great topper to make things super slick and glossy.
The finish is now being repaired as the dealership or factory left some love marks on the truck that the owner was concerned about. Once completed this thing will look better than the day he received it both inside and out.

Up next at the shop we had this new F150 Platinum that we had previously installed PPF on the full front. The client had some health issues so it took a bit for the truck to make it back for the remainder of the work he wanted completed.
The client intends on keeping this truck for a long time so he decided to PPF the front and do a CQuartz Finest coating over the top of everything. So wheels will be coming off and we will be compounding and polishing the finish.

Just like that the CAG GT3 is looking young and protected. The GT3 was stripped of old film and replaced with new. A small blend was completed to erase a little damage. Wheels off service to ensure proper re set and make the fender liners look like new and well cared for. When the PPF was nearing the end I received some help from @antthewrapper and my little one too. Had a chance to take a Wing Wednesday with the Fk8.
Wheels were completed and so were the wells, which look absolutely amazing. Just like the car itself.
Then we started to focus on making the paint look its best. We found that the right combo was CarPro Ultracut with a wool pad medium speed and pressure with one pass being light. After we will still go over with essence to ensure that smooth feeling.

Next up on the GT3 for CAG we had the PPF going down. We did things a little different because we had other vehicles lined up that needed the lift. Remember the delay was in the lower rocker that needed a blend.
We aren’t doing anything crazy just going back with Original Hips and full front end. Front end means areas facing forward such as: bumper, headlights, fogs, mirrors, hood, fenders, a pillars and leading edge of the roof. A little more protection for worry free fun!

Up next we had a white GT3 come in for some PPF work and we unfortunately found out the hard way that there was some areas re finished on the car. These types of issues is what can cause back ups in workflow, sometimes things are not straight forward. This puts a pretty big dent in the schedule as it has to now go to be blended, it’s got to sit for a while to cure before we can re do the section to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Finals Friday…this Boxster S is headed home looking absolutely stunning. We completed a compound and polish throughout the painted portions and then perfectly coated with two layers of CQuartzFinest Reserve. Wheels were removed and fender wells cleaned up to make them look as young as the car. The wheels were in good shape and just needed cleaning and coating. The interior received a quick spruce up and now she’s headed home protected from head to toe and looking young.

Lots of pictures but lots of progress on the Boxster. Nothing like some 50/50 shots and a little wet sanding action. Originally the emblems were going to be re applied to the finish but once they were off and the back was clean, the client really liked the no emblem look so it was left as is.
Tail lights were removed for a closer cleaning, the side intake vents also got a better cleaning and to make sure we got the little corners that we couldn’t while installed.
Next up will be a few more pictures of the process and finals…you can already tell it’s going to be great on this one!

#wheelwednesday and #wowwednesday in full effect with the little Boxster. The OZ wheels came out nice and clean and got them prepped and ready for some Airbrush action. I like the airbrush because the coating goes on thicker which makes it stronger. Some cases we don’t even need to wipe if it goes on even enough.
I turned my attention to the finish after the wheels and wheel wells. As you can tell some areas are going to clean up perfectly and some will still have signs of ware. That’s just typical of any car with age. Over all she’s going to be super shiny and protected once completed.

The Boxster needed love in a lot of areas. There was a car coming in that needed the lift for a few days so we started with the lift vs starting with the paint and interior like we normally do after the wash.
So for #transformationtuesday I give you the wheel wells and calipers. Not only does this give the car a nice refresh, it really does give it that extra pop when the wheels go back on. Your eyes aren’t drawn to anything in particular , they just see everything uniformed.
The calipers were really faded. I polished them the best I could without trying to further damage the finish and then they were coated with CarPro Dlux. Solid transformation on those also! 😎

I missed Transformation Tuesday but Wow Wednesday is just as good. As you look through the pictures this S2k you can tell had some serious neglect over the years, but with a little time and care we slowly brought it back to life. This service wasn’t for perfection, that couldn’t be achieved but it was to make it look presentable. I say this all the time, it was perfect for what we had to work with.

The #s2000 received its decon bath. Which most of the time it’s a through wheel cleaning if the wheels aren’t coming off, then the paint gets a clean up and IronX with a nano skin. If the vehicle is older or just has heavy contamination we would go to a clay bar also. Sometimes we also throw descale or TarX depending how bad it really is. This just helps get the finish ready to do what’s next….
As you swipe you’ll notice the wheels look amazing without even being removed from the car. This isn’t a wheels off service so I decided to focus on a thorough cleaning. Since they had been neglected so bad, I decided to use a little Acid to cut through everything quicker and when it’s properly used, you can see that there is no damage to the finish. I also gave a little teaser on the cut and polish at the end 👀
